Slab Guard Lifetime Guarantee

Terms and Conditions

Coverage:
  • Duration: This warranty lasts for the operational lifetime of Degree Grading with proof of purchase directly from Degree Grading or 3rd party group submissions.
  • Scope: The warranty covers:
    • Accidental cracks or breakage of the encapsulation.
    • Deterioration of the encapsulation’s quality over time, including but not limited to, yellowing, warping, or clouding.
    • Design Updates: Should any claim arise, the damaged or faulty encapsulation will be replaced with the most recent design version of the encapsulation available at the time of the claim.
  • Exclusions: The warranty does not cover:
    • The collectible item within the encapsulation.
    • Misuse, abuse, or neglect: Misuse, abuse, and neglect are classified as any actions taken with the encapsulated card that fall outside of normal activities, such as proper storage, display, and typical handling of collectible graded cards.
    • Any modifications or alterations made to the encapsulation after purchase.
    • Damages resulting from natural disasters such as floods, earthquakes, fires, riots, nuclear war, or any other unforeseen catastrophic event that results in damage.
    • Loss or theft of the encapsulated item.
    • Damages incurred due to improper storage conditions, such as direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, or high humidity.
    • Any evidence of tampering with the encapsulation.
    • Counterfeit or fraudulent items or proof of purchase.
Limitations:
  • Proof of Purchase: Warranty claims require a valid proof of purchase of our services directly from Degree Grading or a 3rd party group submission.
  • Proof of Damage: Claimants should make a genuine effort to provide Degree Grading with clear, high-resolution photographs and any other necessary evidence of the damage.
  • Third-Party Purchases: The warranty is void if the encapsulated trading card is purchased from any third-party, including but not limited to, resellers, eBay, Craigslist, or any other third-party website or platform.
  • Transferability: The warranty is valid only for the original individual or entity that made the submission to Degree Grading. The warranty is transferable if the submission was for a gift, with proof of relation to the original submitter. It is otherwise non-transferable.
  • Claim Limitation: Degree Grading reserves the right to deny claims for any reason, especially in cases of suspected misuse, fraud, or if the claim does not pass visual inspection.
  • Geographical Limitation: This warranty is only applicable for customers within the USA.
  • Force Majeure: Degree Grading is not liable for any failure to fulfill warranty obligations due to events beyond its control, including but not limited to, natural disasters, wars, governmental actions, or any other force majeure events.
Claim Process:
  • To initiate a warranty claim, contact Degree Grading at info@degreegrading.com.
  • Provide the necessary documentation, including the proof of purchase and any relevant photos or descriptions of the issue.
  • Degree Grading reserves the right to verify the validity of all claims and may request the return of the encapsulation for inspection. This includes a visual inspection prior to repair to give the final approval of the claim.
  • If the claim is approved, Degree Grading will, at its discretion, repair or replace the encapsulation. Replacement value is based on the cost of the service provided by Degree Grading. The value of the collectible inside the encapsulation is not considered.
  • Shipping Costs: Degree Grading will provide a return shipping label for any approved warranty claims and will cover the cost of shipping both ways.
  • Turnaround Time: Processing times for warranty claims are contingent on current volume and queue. Turnaround times are not guaranteed and are in accordance with Degree Grading’s standard turnaround time policy.
General Terms:
  • This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction.
  • Degree Grading is not responsible for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from any breach of warranty or condition, or under any other legal theory, including any costs of recovering or reproducing any collectible contained within the encapsulation.
  • The exclusive remedies available under this warranty are limited to the repair or replacement of the encapsulation case. Refunds are not offered as a remedy.
  • The maximum liability of Degree Grading under this warranty is limited to the purchase price of the service provided by Degree Grading.
  • Renewability: Every slab, whether from and originally purchased service or a slab that was replaced after the activation of this lifetime warranty, continues to carry this lifetime warranty.
  • Termination of Warranty: The warranty will be terminated if the service and/or product is discontinued or if Degree Grading ceases operations or goes out of business.
  • Dispute Resolution: Any disputes arising out of or in connection with this warranty shall be dealt with in accordance with the laws of Nevada. Both parties agree to seek resolution through mediation or arbitration before any legal action is taken.
  • Updates to Warranty Terms: Degree Grading reserves the right to update or modify the warranty terms and conditions at any time. It is the responsibility of the customer to stay informed of any changes by regularly visiting https://degreegrading.com/
